Welcome to the Research Section of the Addictions Division website. Our research is broad and involves translational and clinical research in the areas of alcohol, cannabis, tobacco, opioid use disorders, gambling and concurrent disorders, and we conduct state of the art work in these areas using psychopharmacological, behavioural, neuroimaging, neurocognitive and genetic studies. Our research programs are funded by many sources including the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the National Institutes of Health (NIH), as well as private donors through the CAMH Foundation, and other sources. Our research is also an important training opportunity for undergraduate, graduate, medical students and medical residents and post-doctoral fellows at the University of Toronto, where our faculty hold their academic appointments.
